Thoughts Run Astray
Greetings from Italy
Bogiorno!
What is it, 2 days so far. This place is amazing. If I could speak italian, I wouldn't leave, but I can't. :(
Everywhere you turn around something is there, a statue, a building, the Duomo. It's gorgeous. I've taken pictures, sadly I can't get the computer to accept my memory stick so I can't upload them. Sad. You'll all just have to see them later when I get back. Tomorrow classes begin, I'll be at San Marco and the Academia. One thing I miss, and it's not suprising is the TV. Yes, I'm in florence and I really shouldn't care, but after a day of hoofing it all I want is to zone out and stare at something. Now everything is in Italian. I've seen Pokemon, Inuyasha, and Wolf's Rain. XD
They sound funny XXD
Aside from mild bordem in the evenings everything is awsome.
Now all I need to do is figure out where I'm going D:
Ciao!
Ciao!
My flight leaves tomorrow morning, so this is my last romp through the interweb before I leave.
Wish me happy traveling, and safe jorney.
I'll be back with stories.
With these shoulderpads I have the power to destroy villages, homes, and crops

Oh yeah, thats right. A week of summer, and that all I've got to show for it. Well, that and a new bathing suit and 60 bucks worth of art supplies. Shoping for Italy is fun and expensive. :D
I'l probably try and make a visit to the Alma mater on Friday.
3.00
Is it a bad thing that there is still a montain of clothes in the back seat of my car? I guess you could say I've spent the last 2 days "recovering" from the semester, with sleeping in and watching hours of TV. Tomorrow I'll get to work, probably.
Lets cut the the chase, it's officialy Saturday and that means that grades are in. I was so afraid I wasn't going to do well, but I pulled it off. I have a 3.00 finaly. I had a pretty bad Spring semester last year, if you've never heard the biology story. I've been trying to recover from it this year, and I did. I'm a B student. It makes me happy.
I should celebrate tomorrow...
maybe I can convince everyone PF Chang's is the place for dinner.
or maybe I can convince my Dad I need to go shoping...
I do, I've got to buy thing for my trip.
One Year
"Now there's a loss that can never be replaced,
A destination that can never be reached,
A light you'll never find in another's face,
A sea whose distance cannot be breached " ~Bruce Springsteen, Jesus Was an Only Son
It's 1:50, so it's officialy May 11th now.
This is the one year mark, it has been one whole year. A whole year that I have lived without my mother. I've made it through a year. They say that the first year is the hardest, so if thats the truth then it only gets easier, right?
Somehow I don't think they were right, somehow I'm pretty sure it's never going to get easier. All I can do is readjust. Readjust to the way things chage, readjust to the way thing are going to be, readjust everything I had once invisioned about the future.
It's very strange, I've gotten to know a lot of people this year, and I'm really glad I did. But, I bet more than half of them have no idea that I'm reaching such a landmark. What are you supposed to do, introduce yourself like this: Hi, my name is Cat. I live in College Inn, my major is ComDes, and my mom died last May. You can't do that, unless you want a lot of scared looks. Sometimes I wonder if thats why I haven't been depressed. I mean, a lot of people run away when turmoil hits, and I had the luxury of acctualy running away. When I'm at school I don't have to wory about all the changes that are happening at home, becuase I'm not there. It dosen't effect me, I get to live away from it all, and sometimes I'm glad I do.
And sometimes I not. I'm not really running away, because I still face it everyday, it's just hard sometimes. It's always going to be different, but different dosen't have to mean bad. It only seems that way occasionaly.
Occasionaly.
It's like that scene from Garden State, in the pool. When Zach Braff explains his theory of home. At one point the house you grew up in stops being your home, and all you want to do is find someone who feels the same way and make a new one. Sometimes, it dosen't feel like home, just a house. Then I remember who lives there, and it's a home again.
All I know is that the thing that has made it easier, as easy as something like this can get, is God. I can't imagine going through this alone, and I'll never have to. Offeten when I found myself upset about something, after a little prayer I always woke up with things in persepctive. Thank goodness for God.
So this is one year. It didn't move any slower than any of the others, like I sometimes though it would. Nothing stoped, I've just kept moving on forward. You can only go forward. If someone had told me 2 years ago this is how things would be, I probably would have broken down. One thing I've learned is that I'm supriseingly strong. I get that from my mom.
=w= = <3
Here I sit, with one exam to go, and around a day and a half left in the College Inn. The end is near, so very near. So near, in fact, that I hardly studied for Art History. I looked through the book twice, and I'll do it once more tomorrow and hopefully that gives me a B or higher. It's not that hard...early christian through gothic.
So many Churches...
Do you know what tomorrow is, besides my last final?
That is correct, Weezer day! Make Belive comes out tomorrow, and I'll be at Best Buy to get it, becuase Weezer is cool. That makes 3 awsome CD releases in the span of a month. I think they all came out at once to eat my money. They did an excelent job.
A sad thing about people leaving the dorm before me, they took their iTunes with them. I've been mooching off the share function and it's managed to settle my fix for quite a few bands. The Shins, The Postal Service, Frou Frou, The Killers, Ben Folds Five, Jimmy Eat World, Ben Kweller...all bands I haven't had to buy music from becuase I could hear it for free when I got on my computer. And now, NOW I'll be suffering from some major music withdraws...very sad. I am taking donations, if you want to buy me CD's I won't turn them down.
Do you know what else tomorrow is?
Scrubs day! Season Finale, watch it.
I have $3.80 in paw points...what will I spend them on tomorrow?
Maybe ice cream.
Goodbye <3
...
And as the year come to an end I am not looking forward to moving back home. Yes, I like it at home. The truth is, I'm lazy. Really really lazy. I don't want to move out because it involves packing and work and all that crap. I packed everything in my desk tonight and that was horrible. And then, when I get home I have 2 weeks before I fly away to Italy. I have so much to do in those 2 weeks...like get euros and stuff.
I have 2 finals left...only one I need to study for. It's art history, it shouldn't be bad. BUT, you know what was bad, history. Lets all take a minute to hate my history proffessor.
ok, good. I know more about Ronald Reagan than anyone should have to...and even then I couldn't answer the question on the test. I hate it. Those stupid boring biographies. I know I failed that test. I needed to bring my grade UP this semester, not down. I hate how low my GPA is, and then I can't seem to do anything about it. Where have you gone motivation? You better get back here for next year or I'll kill you.
that should help.
Today is Mother's Day ):
I need a man thats...

Free Beanz
I managed to drive all the way from Southlake to San Marcos without any stops. at all. Amazing. I even had a drink in the car with me. Usualy I've got to pull over in Waco for a pit stop even if I fast for 3 hours before the journy. I probably should have stopped...my leg was cramping up around Temple. I was making such good time though, I just kept on. Then I hit traffic in Austin : Stupid car wrecks. You do not need to slow down to see what happened, it only results in more accidents...and really annoyed Cats.
So, I stoped at Popeye's for dinner becuase I wanted to try naked chicken (it was good) and I ordered a combo meal. Fries and a biscut, the standard. Well, I get back to the room and open my fry bag to discover a serving of green beans as well as fries. O: Holy Crap! Free green beans <3 I love green beans.
Family Guy is back. Hooray! I was dissapointed with Fox though, they led me to belive Malcom in the Middle would be animated. I was very excited to see such a thing. It wasn't, they just animated the intros before the show. That's not cool, they wern't even funny intros.
Finals start this week, are you ready?
Good.
